The ‘Original’ Batman Window Washer
Roger Corcoran, also known as the window washing grandpa, has been washing windows for over 35 years. Roger is 61 years old and came up with the idea to repel down the window of the Mayo Clinic dressed as Batman, along with his friends, Superman and Spiderman.

Roger and John Carroll both work for ISS Facility Services. ISS Facility Services clean the windows for the Mayo Clinic. John is a 48 year old ‘Superman’ who has been washing windows for over 15 years. He and Roger came up with this brilliant idea to bring a smile to the kids’ faces.
Batman, Superman and Spiderman come to life for the children of the Mayo Clinic Children’s Center. They can be found repelling down the side of the clinic and then they come inside and the kids are face to face with their favorite real life superheros.
“When a kid wanted to know why I was so old, I told him I was the original Batman.” said Roger Cororan with a big smile on his face.
There are so many wonderful kids at the Mayo Clinic and what Roger and his ‘superhero’ friends are doing is amazing. It is so good to know that there are people like Roger in the world. There men truly are senior superstars!
